Prayers for Our Enemies
God really loves us. I mean, He really loves us. In this season, I am learning to pray for my enemies, to pray for those who have cursed me. Help me, Lord, to realize just how much You love us. When we pray for those who have hurt us, we step into Your shoes and truly become like You, as Your children. Jesus stood silently as they ridiculed Him, meekly as they abused Him. He prayed for them when they were at their worst.
I will be the first to admit that my initial reaction is often to strike back, to fire back at those who try to push me around. But something has been impressed upon my heart tonight as I was arguing with someone who is far more left-wing than the average liberal. God changed my heart toward her and showed me His desire for her to know Him. I began to shift what I was writing to her and redirected the focus from defensiveness to hopefully reaching her heart. I began praying for this woman. I will continue to pray for her, and there was such peace in that moment.
God began to show me the great strength and power in operating not from a place of reacting through my limited and often selfish lens, but from a place of seeing through His lens... His sight, His heart. There is power there. There is a love beyond our flesh and natural way of responding. I hope that as I grow and share in this journey, we can all grow and walk deeper into the incredible love of Jesus. I’m so thankful that the teachings of the Lord redirect our hearts toward what is good, healthy, and beneficial for the soul... not just for ours, but for our enemies' as well.
As we fight against the enemy, who is evil and vile, may we do so with the love and power of God, in a way that reveals His goodness to a lost and dying world.

I too an old saint was reminded on this day of the power of love filled prayers that penetrate the kingdom of darkness to awaken and rescues the captives. 1 Corinthians 13. Holy Spirit unite the Body of Christ in this mission John 13:34,35. Love never Fails ❤️🩸

What you did at the Liberty Ball was blasphemous and idolatry. It was deeply unsettling.
Maybe you should spend less time judging your debate opponents and do some self-reflection.
