Walk By Faith: Embracing the Courage to Step Forward
In the extraordinary account of Jesus walking on water, we find not just a miracle, but a profound invitation to each of us to walk by faith. This story, a vivid illustration of faith and fear, challenges us to step out of our comfort zones and to trust in the unseen.
Just as Peter saw Jesus walking on the turbulent sea, we too are often called to step out into the unknown, to places that seem daunting or impossible. This scene is a powerful metaphor for life’s storms and our response to divine calls that seem to defy logic and reason.
The initial courage that Peter showed, stepping out of the boat, is a testament to the strength that faith can bring. He walked on water, not by his own power, but by keeping his eyes fixed on Jesus. This teaches us an essential truth: our ability to navigate life’s challenges is not so much about our strength, but about where we place our trust.
However, the moment Peter diverted his attention to the storm, he began to sink. This illustrates a critical aspect of our faith journey. Like Peter, we often start with confidence, but when faced with the realities of our circumstances, fear and doubt creep in. The lesson here is clear: our focus should remain steadfast on Christ, especially when the winds of uncertainty blow.
The beauty of this story lies not just in the miracle of walking on water, but in Jesus’ response to Peter's wavering faith. Jesus didn’t chastise him for trying; instead, He reached out to save him, reminding him of the need for unwavering faith. This is a comforting reminder that even when our faith falters, Christ is there to uphold us.
As we reflect on this biblical narrative, we are reminded that walking by faith requires courage to step out of our comfort zones. It’s about facing our fears, not denying them. Like flowers that bloom by turning towards the sun, we are called to turn towards the light of Christ, embracing our purpose and potential.
In your life, what does it mean to walk by faith? Are there areas where you feel called to step out of the boat and trust in God's guidance, even when the destination is not fully visible? Remember, walking by faith is not the absence of fear, but the decision to move forward despite the fear, knowing that with each step, Jesus is there to guide and support us.
Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments. How have you walked by faith in your life? Your story might be the encouragement someone needs to take their first step out of the boat. Let’s inspire each other with our journeys of faith, courage, and trust in the One who calls us to walk on water. 🤍✨

We tried to have a baby but it never happened. We stood and believed God to bless us with a baby and five years later we were blessed with a little boy. We later found out I had polycystic ovarian syndrome and also endometriosis. So our little boy is truly a miracle. Thank God for miracles.

I write devotionals to God and Jesus almost from birth. As an infant I played with Angels from my crib. My biological father died when I was 33 months and twelve days into my life at he age of 31.

The miracle of Jesus walking on the water remains a beautiful demonstration of the power that lives in Christ. This year I hold fast to this remembrance of past trials, losses of family and friends, tribulations and changes in life where God has called me to fully trust that HE is able to bring good from bad, working all things for our good. Through the pain and sorrow, anguish and anger, he offers himself as the true source of life and reminder of heaven itself. With Peter, I admire the courage and faith he did have to take that step into the water and no matter the situation he knew he was stepping out with Jesus. Despite his human nature, he displayed his faith. And when we do that, we can count on Jesus being there to save us. Jesus is the savior and we will always need saving no matter how strong our faith is. He never wants us to believe we can do it without him. Glory to God! Every storm offers us an understanding of Gods sovereignty and power to see his greater purpose and plan. Let us not be discouraged by the storm remembering that the winds and waves still know his name, and they will be silenced by his presence Halellujah!

I keep my eyes fixed on Jesus because he is the only one who can give me the Peace that passes understanding.I have been battling cancer for many years now, after being cancer free for six years it came back.
Gods Grace is sufficient and I will not question my God and I will continue to see his hand in all of this. I can rejoice knowing that God is with me in the hard times and I believe he will use my cancer for His glory and my good. I am not afraid of tomorrow because every detail of my life is under his control. To Him be the Glory.
(Matthew 11:28) Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Keeping my eyes lifted and locked on him is my focus this year. He has been leading me thru and around the mountain. We are moving up. Dominus Regit me.

Many of us express “taking a leap of faith”. Faith as a Christ Follower is so revitalizing, knowing that God loves us so much, during the step of faith, he will guide us. Even with the little hiccups. It’s important to stay steadfast, keep your eyes & heart upon him, as you continue to serve his “kingdom” as the beacon of light. If you are not Serving, you are Swerving. Plant that seed in your heart, continue to nurture it with your relationship with God, as we plant seeds in other people’s hearts/ lives as a vessel to spread “his” word by evangelizing and sharing the wondrous blessings. Be patient & remember it is always “in his timing” trust as you have faith….

The art prints and the story speak to what I’m going through! Just a personal testimony the Lord Jesus Christ healed me of thyroid cancer at 29 years old I had great faith I believed for the healing and spoke healing before I saw the healing I could only cry tears of joy when the doctor said she couldn’t explain it because the blood work showed it spread but the body scan saw no cancer! Praise God for HIS healing! Now I’m having to step out in faith with the battlefield of the mind so now I’m battling in the “thought” arena and I am learning to trust the Lord Jesus Christ in a new way that’s goes deeper than what I knew before! Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord!

Hi, i can definately sense or feel the new thing i keep hearing about from Isaish43: 18 & 19. I am walking a bit in it, i am also waiting for his timing. I love spending time in his presence. I think i am getting more rooted and grounded in him and mature and secure and the things that could rock me will not sabatoge me again.

I love this and the message behind it. So many of us need the courage and grace extended by Christ to walk out in faith regardless of the circumstances.
Hoping this piece will be available in an art print soon. It is beautiful and definitely speaks to the heart.

Thank you so much for sharing your heart. I’m praying I can step out and be the vessel I feel in my heart, but can’t seem to be bold like Peter, and like what your saying. I know this is the time we need to stand firm and take bold actions toward our calling. Thank you and love your art.

Every Day we must all Get out of the Boat? A Good idea for a Decal “Jesus & Peter walking on Water” “Get Out Of The Boat”

Through the devastating trials littered all through my adult life, it wasn’t until the last 5 years the importance of that faith unseen. For me, it was the focus on my relationship with Jesus. The importance of that relationship brought me to His rest. Brought me to His peace. One that is beyond all understanding. When the fear is gone, and the anxiousness of daily life flees, that weight that burdens man is gone. Lay all at His feet. Give all sorrows and problems to Him and He will fulfill His promise of being with you. And when those trials come up and the devil tries to grasp a foot hole into your life, the greatest defense against that is to go love someone. Love truly does cast out all fears and sends the devil fleeing. Love and hate can’t occupy the same space. Choose your space and may Gods blessings be abundantly overflowing in your life.

Jesus took me out from the road of destruction with my health and put me on solid ground. I am a former addict and He saved me from a heart attack about to happen. I trust Him with my life today, this happened back in 20/4 and I’ve been used to encourage others who face such trauma. 2014. Psalm 23 is always my favorite Psalm besides 91. Though I walk through the valley of death I will fear no evil, for thy rod and thy staff are with me. Amen 🙏

Our trials with the enemy wiles sometimes are constant, to keep us from reaching our goals and loves. Our Lord always said “The enemy has had no power over me” As so it is, we look up! He is there to give us his hand and assistance. Faith and Trust are paramount in our lives . Focus , no fear, he is right there to take our hand.
